The Death of Humbaba

The story of Gilgamesh takes place in the city of Uruk in Mesopotamia. The story involves king Gilgamesh, Enkidu, and Humbaba. In the beginning, Gilgamesh and Enkidu take and adventure to the Cedar forest to get some wood. Then when Gilgamesh and Enkidu are walking through the forest they see Humbaba the demon. Humbaba says you cant come in. In the end, the two friends decide to fight. With the help of the god and the greatest winds they trapped the demon. Then, Gilgamesh cut Humbabas head. They got logs and take it to their city.

The message of the story is good wins evil. I choose this because good will always win evil. Also, in the story Gilgamesh wins Humbaba. Gilgamesh is good and Humbaba is evil. Gilgamesh got his sword and cut the demonds head. Another reason is because good will always beat evil. Gilgamesh was a good person.

I believe Gilgamesh is a hero because he destroyed Humbaba. Also, he brought wood to make doors back to his city. In addition, he got a sword and cut the demons head. Finally, he made a boat and put logs and returned to his city. In my opinion, Gilgamesh is a hero.
